A Porch Sessions Festival : One Sunday, one Porch, five bands, A market bazaar and all of your favourite porch delights you’ve grown to love in one dreamy location, in sunny Hahndorf.
You've seen the concept seep through the trees of Adelaide suburbia, filling your neighbours backyards with Persian rugs and festoon lights, with a stunning local food and beverage assortment and not to mention some of the tastiest music in all the land. Now, the team of Porch folk are going one bigger, creating Adelaide's very own Porch Sessions Festival, coming to a rather large porch near you, this March.
As Porch fever has swept across the city, having sold out every single show that's ever been announced, now is the time for all of the porchlings to be together at last; A concept that promises to be the first of an annual festival, unique to and existing only in, oh glorious Adelaide.
Not to mention a pretty drool worthy line up of acts headed to Adelaide especially for this little soiree.
Leading the porch pack will be fruity six piece, Lime Cordiale of sunny northern beaches of Sydney. Bringing their up-and-about jams, groovin horns and down right boogie worthy tunes to the porch to finish the evening on a high. No strangers to the porch, ridiculously talented central coast duo, Winterbourne take to the swooning Adelaide audiences once more with their signature folk sounds, catchy rhythms and unmistakable vocal lines. Gorgeous Melbourne based duo Sweet Jean graced Adelaide in the New Year and are set to return for this very festival with their stunning selection of golden folky goodness, layered with honey dripping harmonies - delicious. Benjamin James Caldwell, the man with incredibly smokey pipes and jokes to go with them, will grace the porch in all of his banterous glory, the second time in front of porch crowds. And but of course to have some local blood on the line up, a majestic steed of the blues that goes by the name of Ollie English, in equal parts a stunning guitarist, vocalist and dreamboat, what a pleasure to have this little bubble of talent back on the porch.
